Government of India places emphasis on utilizing the emerging dynamism of the Indian Industry and is looking for private industry to take an active role in making the country self reliant.
Technology Development Fund Scheme focuses on the development of technologies that will form the kernel of components/assemblies, which will be in turn used to develop defence equipment/systems/sub-systems/platforms.
It is our endeavour to get every defence equipment or item requirement of our Armed Forces manufactured in India. Not only that, India can be a global manufacturing hub for defence sector and supplies can be made to other countries from India.
TDF Scheme looking for following industries
Public Limited Company, Private Limited Company, Partnership Firm, Limited Liability Partnership, One Person Company, Sole Proprietorship registered as per applicable Indian Laws.
The industry has to be owned and controlled by Indian Citizen.
The Industry with excess of 49% foreign investment will not be eligible.
Industry shall also possess or be in the process of acquiring license/ development of products if the product/ technology under project requires license as per DIPP’s licensing policy.
Company/ Organization which have not been debarred/ banned/ blacklisted or the business dealings with whom have been “suspended” / “put on hold” by the Ministry of Defence.
