Application for Technology Development Fund Scheme award will be submitted online ( website www.tdf.drdo.gov.in).

No (Partnership Firm, Sole Proprietorship firm registered under applicable laws are also eligible)

MSME is defined as per the MSMED Act 2016 for the purpose of the Technology Development Fund Scheme.

Public Limited Company, Private Limited Company, Partnership Firm, Limited Liability Partnership, One Person Company, Sole Proprietorship registered as per applicable Indian Laws are eligible to receive the TDF project award.

Technology Development Fund Scheme envisages the signing of an Agreement to be executed with the Industry (Development Agency). Agreement covers the scope of work, milestone, deliverables, payment details and other relevant information required during the execution of the project.

Two phases in Technology Development Fund Scheme is submission of Expression of Interest and Detailed Project Report.

Non-profit research institution can only apply in collaboration/ Association with an Indian Industry. Indian Industry will be the Lead Bidder.

Technology Development Fund is a programme of MoD (Ministry of Defence) under “Make in India” initiative executed by DRDO meeting the requirements of Tri-Services, Defence Production and DRDO.

Objective of Technology Development Fund Scheme program is to create an eco-system for enhancing cutting edge technology capability by inculcating R&D culture in Industry for building indigenous state-of-art systems for defence applications.

Technology Development Fund Scheme envisages the participation of Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air-Force, DRDO, Department of Defence Production and Ministry of MSME.

Company registry is the registration of a company with registrar under Companies Act 1956/2013.

Company should be owned and controlled by Indian Citizen (refer eligibility guidelines listed in Appendix ‘A’ of Technology Development Fund Scheme SOP)

Incorrect information leads to cancellation of registration on TDF Web-portal or debarring in future projects.

Technology Development Fund Scheme envisages only development of Technology Indigenously.

Yes (Defence and Aerospace)

  1. Significant up-gradation/improvements/ further developments in the existing products/process/application etc
  2. Technology readiness level up-gradation from TRL3 onwards to realization of products as per Tri-Services requirements
  3. Development of futuristic technologies/innovative products which can be useful for the defence applications
  4. Import substitution of components whose technologies does not exist with the Indian industry.
